The aim of this bachelor thesis titled: "The Czechoslovak Press Acclaim for the Book Burning by the German Students on 10th May 1933" is not only to give complex insight into the background of those events but also into the events preceding as they are closely linked. The author's intention is to relate the events to the context of the atmosphere in the 1933 Czechoslovakia. The reactions of the Czechoslovak press to the book burning are discussed in a separate chapter as well as the response of Czechoslovakia's western neighbours.
